Cignetti is really a boss! He is the next Saban.

Saban wouldn’t be dapping up a talking head from afar pregame. He’d be standing there arms crossed possibly chewing out a support staffer while exuding nervous energy yet somehow making it work.

He’s not the next Saban. Relax

Put him at Texas and the dude will dominate for years.

He's already in his mid 60s. Good coach but not even close to Saban.

Saban never won at a school like Indiana. I’m convinced Saban “retired” to run away from the Cig.

He’s surpassed Kirby for best active college football HC for sure.

Saban won his titles and built his legend by always having a massive talent advantages at LSU/Bama combined with his coaching expertise. Cignetti’s doing what he’s doing now with what? 8 TOTAL 4/5 star players on his roster, most real ones acknowledge he’s the closest thing to a Saban clone.

Funny thing is this is the one clip I have seen that isn't like Saban. Everything else he does (constantly talking, critiquing, never celebrating) is very Saban-esque. The guy carries himself on the sideline much more like Saban than Smart does. I was getting jealous watching the game.

If he wins a title at Indiana it is better than anything Saban has done by far

Yeah some people really aren’t putting enough emphasis on that. This is Indiana we’re talking about. An absolute laughing stock of a football program whose most recent accomplishment outside of this year was winning the fricking Copper Bowl in 1991. They’ve had 5 winning seasons in 34 years and haven’t had a 10-win season ever until last year.
If Cig wins one at Indiana, he’s shoulder to shoulder with Bear Bryant and Saban

Why do people think he's 35 and just starting his career?

It is disappointing he got such a late chance in coaching.

Would love the Dolphins (or Bama) to hire him.

I think this is one of the reasons that coaches are failing at such a high right at the moment. They literally don't have the experience to learn everything that contributes to winning over time because everyone is searching for the next big thing and judging incredibly quickly, forgetting that guys have the ability to continue to improve and learn.

Saban wouldn't have given mcafee the time of day
Prime saban did the bare minimum with the media until his later years when he mellowed

Saban never would’ve pulled this off at Indiana

I thought it was hilarious the way that he looked at the field when Deboer was doing his dumbass shite on that 4th down call in the first half.
His look just said, "WTF are you doing, just line up and run a play so that I can stop you"
That had to be embarrassing for an Alabama fan.
