I watched Ricky Gervais "Fame" stand up from 2007 last weekend and it was incredibly funny. It made me think of how many old stand up are out there that are partially lost/forgotten. What are some great ones that are still worth the watch?

Almost anything by the late John Pinette.
"Understanding The Wife's Code" with Jeff Allen
"The Three Little Pigs Like You've Never Heard Before" with John Branyan
Also if you can find anything by Richard Jeni, it may be worth a watch

Dave Chappelle: Killin' Them Softly is my favorite of all time.
Eddie Murphy: Delirious just a classic.
as someone else already said Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip.
if we're separating the art from the artist Bill Cosby: Himself is hilarious and a classic.
While he's not for everyone, Bo Burnham is i believe a comedy genius and al of his specials are great but seek out Bo Burnham: Inside’ which was made completely isolated during COVID, ‘what.’ (2013) and ‘Bo Burnham: Make Happy’ (2016).
My current favorite comedian is Nate Bargatze and he's one of those clean comedians so good you don't realize he never curses.
it seems like every special gets better but seek out Hello World (2023), The Tennessee Kid (2019) and Your Friend, Nate Bargatze (2024)

The Greatest Average American

Dave Chappelle’s For What It’s Worth cracks me up from beginning to end just about every time I watch it

Also if you like gallows humor Anthony Jeselnik is hilarious. My wife and i went see him in NOLA last year and that tour was his Bones and All special which was hilarious.
If you end up liking that check out Fire in the Maternity Ward (2019), Thoughts and Prayers (2015) and Caligula (2013)
edit: ya'll got the flood gates opening now!
Patrice O’Neal: Elephant in the Room (2011) this was his last special before he died and it was the best he ever was.
The Original Kings of Comedy (2000) is a classic and Bernie Mac shines on this one.
Katt Williams does have some classics.
Katt Williams: The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1 (2006), Katt Williams: American Hustle (2007), Katt Williams: It's Pimpin' Pimpin' (2008), Katt Williams: Great America (2018)
and my favorite roaster of all time (not named Don Rickles) is Greg Girldo his only special Midlife Vices (2009) before he died.

I thought Steve Harvey’s bits in Kings of Comedy were pretty dang funny and I typically don’t like stand up. The other comedians, not so much.
