This past year was THE softest OL I have ever seen at LSU

USC lost because Atleast 3 defenders didn’t put forth full effort or try to wrap up tackling a RB on 3rd and long in overtime , when the other team was playing for a game tying FG, and let him run in for the game winning touchdown.

Probably the softest football play I’ve watched all year.

It was obvious from year one. Our much hyped OL the first two years could never block or move a DL backwards. No one noticed it because Jayden Daniels was so good at improvising and made our stats look like we could run the ball. This is how you can use stats to lie about your program.

Football in general at the HS and below level is getting soft. Go to a HS or even middle school game and you’ll see an awful lot of arm tackling and lineman pushing/shoving instead of hitting. Coaches aren’t allowed anymore to run the Oklahoma or the bull in the ring.

Kids simply aren’t being taught contact at lower levels anymore.

that was evident even his first year here. The culture was just way way different than it was under Saban, Les, and O. I thought maybe it was just NIL and transfer portals making the culture change but then watching actual good teams with physical OL and DLs and linebackers who attack the backfield...it makes me mad.

I saw an interview with Kirby Smart and he was asked about players entering the portal because he has “live hitting in practice”. He said “I like it and I like and want to play these teams they transfer to because the teams they transfer to don’t like to hit”.

BK was more worried about schtick vs winning.
