Calipari is right. Under the new NCAA determination a drafted NFL player could come back.

Well, they always said if you sign with an agent then you can’t return and now they are allowed to have agents, so makes sense

I hope players who played in the NFL and NBA go back to college to play. The ONLY reason why I want this to happen is so they can make a mockery of the entire college sports landscape that is now the NIL era.

And hopefully it’s like a 40 year old QB who can’t make it in the NFL anymore and still has a year of eligibility left goes back to college and leads a team to a national championship.

Now that would be a mockery.

Aaron Rodgers has two years of eligibility left under the Pavia JUCO rule lol

If they let Pavia play another year, then why even have eligibility rules anymore

Everyone always said LeBron would make a great TE. Here’s his chance.

The NCAA allowed all of this by allowing waivers and creating all kinds of gray areas.

If they had firm eligibility rules, then they could enforce them.

5 years to play 5. No redshirts of any sort. No waivers. Once you enroll in any type of college, your 5 years starts ticking. Gives everyone 5 years of playing eligibility. This is the best plan.

This actually sounds amazing.

I don’t understand why a conference can’t set its own rules and if you don’t want to play by rules find another avenue to make it to professional sports or Olympics

LeBron never started his college eligibility rolling, he could come back and play college basketball under the current rules.

Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota both have 1 year of eligibility left.

It would be great to see them come back and play at competing schools like an Alabama & Auburn, Florida State & Miami, or Florida & Georgia. Would be even better since they both have Heismans and were 1st and 2nd overall picks in the NFL draft.

The obvious path with football at least is an age limit in the name of player safety. That could potentially insulate the sport somewhat from the courts.

So college football maybe becomes maybe an under 23 league.

Their hand was kind of forced by an injunction, wasn't it? And the original lawsuit is still ongoing, which may rewrite the eligibility rules for JUCO players.

Might be time for a remake or 2nd edition of Necessary Roughness.

If Philip Rivers can make an NFL comeback at 44, I see no reason why we can't bring Julio back. Just ridiculous.
