Can't blame any LSU RB for transferring and wish them best of luck

The lifespan of a RB is probably the shortest of any of the skilled positions in football, so who can blame them for wanting to find a spot to showcase their talents. The reality is the OL play at LSU the last two years has been atrocious and to stay to play behind a totally new OL and risk another disaster doesn't make much sense.

Jackson and Johnson have already jumped into the portal and there is a lot of talk Durham will be joining him soon. The real question mark is Berry, and with Frank Wilson going to OM and close friends with Berry's parents, and Kiffin possibly bringing Lacy over, there is a strong likelihood that all four of LSU's RBs could be moving on to greener pastures.

As a fan, I hate to see it because all four have shown glimpses of being very talented, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why any LSU RB would want to move on.

During their time at LSU, they have all represented LSU in a first class manner, so I wish them the best moving forward!

How do yall even get attached to these players, anymore? I mean, unless you are like a close friend or family who loves LSU. This sport is all business now. I appreciate the heck out of them while they are here, but at the end of the day....

Tell me you don't know how Lane Kiffin likes to run his offense without saying you have no clue how Lane Kiffin likes to run an offense.

I can blame them. Their new Hc is an offensive guru and their new RB coach is one of the best in the nation. They would be stupid to leave unless forced out

Do you mean the fact that 4 of LSU's OL from 2024 are in the NFL? Do you mean that one of them was drafted #4 overall in the 2024 draft (actually May 2025). What an idiot! Granted, 2025 OL was not very good, but 2024 OL was elite.

If they leave they leave

To be honest we had no run game this year. Some RBs are good enough to make a bad OLine look good. For the most part that was not the case with the backs we had on the roster.

LSU has. To stop recruiting every kid on LA and start recruiting guys that fit Lanes system. We need backs who produce wherever they are from.

Who in their right mind would have faith or confidence enough in Frank to follow him anywhere?

Frick all that candy arse "Best of Luck" BS. If they're not Tigers, they're Tiger Bait and I could care less what happens to them after they leave LSU.

There is so much stupidity in your post that i don’t even know where to begin. Good gosh

Yea it would be a genius idea for Berry and the rest of the LSU RBs to leave and not be a part of a coach that averaged being tops in the SEC in rushing almost every year at Ole Miss. Makes total sense.

Come on man think before you post dumb takes.

If they don’t want to be a part of what Kiffin has to offer with the most productive offense in the SEC, then don’t let the door hit you in the arse. I’m tired of these whiny arse kids thinking you need to cater to their every whim. He will bring in just as good talent and most likely get more production. I’m good if they all leave, Lacy is just as good and proven.

Well Wilson won’t be back to only give the starting RB three carries the entire game. The 3rd string RB is in the portal and also got 3 carries and was playing as early as the second quarter. I think anyone who wanted to showcase their talents would be glad to not follow Frank Wilson and glad that the offensive run scheme will be changing.

I’m sure Berry can’t wait to follow Frank to Ole Miss where after a long carry he can finish the half on the bench.

I can never understand this comment. It is well within everyone’s power to make it stop…simply don’t click on the thread. Problem solved.

Remember, it’s a message board not a think tank for strategic planning.

Have you watched or looked at the success rate and numbers of a RB in a Kiffin O?

They just played in an offense that was run by coaches who mismanaged their time, had no plan for their use, and continually said RB’s would be utilized more, but never were. Now, those coaches are gone. Why wouldn’t you want to stay, when the new coaches have put RB’s in the nfl and offense has been prolific?
