Spinoff from other thread...what City do you think should deserve the RnR HOF?

I say Detroit for all the music artists that have come from that area..."Motown" was instumental in the transforming of Rock.
Mitch Ryder, MC5, Ted Nugent, Bob Seger, The Romantics, Alice Cooper, Glen Frey, Kid Rock, Greta Van Fleet, "Detroit Rock City"

I hate the very idea of a RnR HOF, but the RnR Museum should be in Memphis

The Merseybeat scene really only produced one great band, and one very good one (the Searchers)

You can make a case for London if you go by the Detroit great acts argument

If you use the Memphis argument (there at the beginning) you can make a case for NO. But that was more of an evolution - the great leap forward was Memphis,

I was being facetious. I don't believe there should be a "rock and roll" HoF anywhere. It's too subjective.

If it has to exist (which it shouldn't), yes it should be in New York.

Which was in the running but the city of Cleveland threw about 65 million toward the project. I personally would think Memphis too because of Sun Records and The King.
