Harris County Treasurer Dr. Carla Wyatt, was elected in 2022. She now charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Treasurer Dr. Carla Wyatt is out on bond after being arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, according to Houston police.
Police say the incident happened on Wednesday along Washington Avenue. Officers were called to the area and reported seeing Wyatt taking items from a vehicle. According to investigators, Wyatt told officers she had permission to be inside the car.
