Solid enough list. Not many good films this year, and I disliked half of those. . .but hard to argue they weren't the top 10

as an aside

I saw Harakiri by Kobayashi this year for the first time.

definitely would recommend

I mentioned in a previous thread that this year wasn’t that bad for movies but after really looking at it…it was pretty bad.

I was waiting until I see Marty Supreme till I make my list but I guess I’ll take a wack at it and edit it after if it makes the top 10.

1. Train Dreams
2. Warfare
3. Bugonia
4. Nuremberg
5. One Battle After Another
6. Weapons
7. Friendship
8. The Ballad of Wallis Island
9. F1
10. 28 Years Later

5 Honorable mention:
-Anniversary
-Caught Stealing
-Together
-Sinners
-Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man

5 Most dissapointing
-Mickey 17
-Predator: Badlands
-Eddington
-Jay Kelly
-Conjuring: Last Rites

Top 5 series:
1. Mobland (S1)
2. Task (limited)
3. The Pitt (S1)
4. White Lotus (S3)
5. Welcome to Derry (S1)

I have seen zero movies from that list, I don't think I watched any movies at all from 2025.

What a bleak year for movies. Hopefully 2026 is better.

I saw Sinners and Superman in the theater and Weapons on a plane flight. Haven’t even heard of the others except OBAA.

Not too many movies have intrigued me in recent years, and the 2026 lineup doesn’t look too promising from what I have seen.

I definitely will give the Dracula movie a shot in February, though, if only because Christoph Waltz.is in it.
