$2 Billion too Much

quote:

The United States will limit its United Nations humanitarian funding to $2 billion, marking a steep reduction from annual contributions that previously reached as high as $17 billion, US officials said.

The move reflects President Donald Trump’s broader push to scale back foreign aid and force reforms within the UN system.

quote:

The cuts come as the United Nations warns of historic funding shortfalls. The UN has appealed for $23 billion for 2026, citing shrinking Western support.

Need to completely disassociate from the UN's version of the CDC -- the World Health Organization.

Why? Not discussed:

Amazingly the US us still bound to honor and yield to any declared "International Health Emergency" by its officials (as in 2020.) By the agreement the US is bound to surrender of US sovereignty and authority. Our freedom of movement and economy can be shut down all over again at a whim.

There is some value in cutting it from $17 Billion to $2 Billion because on top of the $15 Billion savings -- Trump does his usual gambit of getting his opponents to complain about receiving $2 Billion.

He does this a lot. He will cut something and then his critics lose their shite in public over now receiving what is still a major amount.

I'm not sure how to read this. On one hand it could mean that the dollar is so strong that there isn't as much need to bribe...errrrrr..."aid" other countries into using it.
On the other hand, it could be that the value of the dollar around the world has gotten so bad that these countries don't want them anymore.
Or it could be something else entirely. Who knows?

They need to be paying us for decades of spending trillions to protect them.

Unless it was fake, someone recently posted on social media that if Elon Musk would donate $6billion, it could end world hunger. His reply was:

“I will do it if there a strict accounting of all distribution of the funds and aid”.

If the U.S. wants to supply aid somewhere this should be the only way and there should be an independent non corrupt entity to do so. The Ukrainian money-hole should be a lesson and cut off immediately.

Or it could be that we’re tired of giving our taxpayer funds o countries that use it against us or supplement for their own defense to use the money on graft, corruption, or wasteful entitlements.

That is long overdue. I only wish this had been done prior to the negotiations for the Gazan "20 point plan" for peace. It could have been used as leverage to force the UN to actually recognize terrorists as terrorists and force it to shed some of the terrorist sympathizers within it.
