Since we have our qb, do we go ahead and spend this offseason?

you get pieces, you're not ready to go all in. yet. keep the books clean for 27 to shoot your shot

Ideally they do similar to what they did this offseason., don’t go crazy, 2-3 year moderate deals and maybe 1-2 higher priced targets,

Ideally they spend heavy on a guard and then re-sign Alontae and extend Olave as priorities

If we had the 5th year as a 1st round pick, I'd agree. I think without it though, you start this offseason. This division is there for the taking

Id almost rather throw tons of money on guards than draft them.

Every other position we can draft. Spend money on guards

this is the way... we still at least a year removed from being able to really start swinging for the fences

Don’t have the cap room to spend in the offseason.

We need to resign (or replace) Olave, Taylor, Demario and Cam Jordan.
We also need to find two guards, a WR, a NT and a RB in either free agency or the draft.

I think that’s too much to accomplish in one offseason.

Focus on the draft this year and signing a FA guard. Maybe a big splash signing in two years.

This is a horrible fa class of guards.

Maybe re-sign Taylor. Get a defender in the first and draft a guard in the 2nd or 3rd. This ain’t the year to spend in fa. Need another year to get dead money off the books.

Last offseason you were sitting on the pool chairs, eating chips and a sandwich watching everyone else have fun.

This year, I think you sit poolside, dangle the legs in the water but don’t go diving full into the pool yet. Shough plays like this in Year 2…that’s when you go all in

Not really, they are just old. But bitonio, Teller, seumalo

Are all over 30

Id go John Simpson who is 28

You could either Move Fortner or McCoy to guard.

This is what I keep saying as well. OL are largely terrible coming out of college. Sign two good Gs in FA, and draft weapons and a pass rusher

You don’t even need elite guard play. Just better than what we have. We can find a youngish average guard and get much better play than what we have been getting

I don’t think the FA class is all that good. Keep our players

Olave
Demario
Cam
Taylor
Luke Fortner?? - might be too expensive as a backup with McCoy on the roster (spotrac market value says $6mm now)

If there’s a guard you believe in sign him, but the best one or two I think had injury issues this year

get pieces. continue to build. dont want to push your chips in yet. go get IOL NT CB WR. RB and LB would be nice but not huge priorities

We’ve got to go all in on Guards in FA. When’s the last time we drafted a decent OG? Carl Nicks in 2008? We’ve got too small of a window of Shough on a rookie contract to bank on draft picks to fill out the OL.
