The reason would be to prevent injury and preserve draft slot. We've got a bonafide franchise guy. It actually makes a lot of sense to protect him in the last game.

The argument against it is that Shough has a chance to be ROY.

This isn't really a devil's advocate argument, it's just stupid.

Nah, last game of the year with tons of momentum. Winning out the year would do so much for the mentality of this team

For maybe the tenth time; getting the fourth place schedule is a much bigger deal than drafting two spots earlier. But having said that, you don’t even entertain the thought. You are trying to build a culture of winning.

Abso-fricking-lutely not. You go into the offseason with all the momentum to start next season just like you left off.

Losing to the Falcons isn’t the worst thing ever. If they lose to the Rams, a win over them puts us 3rd in the division I believe, which gives us a 3rd place schedule. Would be great to have the 4th place schedule next year.

This really shouldn't matter if you play someone or not.

I'm not against 'tanking' but he and the team have momentum and I wouldn't want to stop that. This is the one time where im not worried about draft picks.

I certainly hope not. Taking my son to his first ever NFL game next week. He’s looking forward to watching Shough, not Rattler
