Why do people act like Ed Orgeron and Frank Wilson love LSU so much?

It’s just a job to them like everyone else. They’re just good at conning people into forming an emotional attachment to them. This too is aimed at achieving their goals; not authentic love

Ed Orgeron talked crap about LSU while at Southern Cal, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. All he cares about is who is going to give him his next big payday. Whoever does that is his next “dream job”.

Everyone talks about Frank loving LSU so much but as soon as he didn’t receive the exact on-field role that he wanted he jetted and joined one of our biggest SEC rivals the next day without thinking twice about it.

It’s all a charade. None of these guys “love LSU”. It’s just business and a job to them.

What all did he say? Please be specific.

Or they love LSU and love getting paid.

Why should Frank take an off-field role for less money that's not in alignment with what he wants to do when he can be an on-field coach working for guys he's worked with before (Golding and Austin Thomas)? At a place he's got some familiarity with?

FIFY. None of these coaches anywhere love the school they coach for, ok maybe a couple. It’s all coach speak as It’s a job for them. I’ve never said I love my employer. They put food on my table.

Look at Brian Kelly. He obviously didn't give a damn about LSU, just his bloated contract, yet there were people ready to defend him to the ends of the earth.

Because two things can be possible at the same time.

They were both willing to give their lives for this program. That should tell you all you need to know.

It’s pretty clear why Coach O loves LSU so much. Go watch any documentary about 2019 or any interview in which he discusses his childhood. He is a fan, just like us.

Here is a good one to start with. Very entertaining.

Orgeron checked out after 2019. You don’t do that if you “love” LSU. Kelly obviously checked out after 2022 but unlike Orgeron his f**kups weren’t all over social media for everyone to see. So he was given more benefit of the doubt next 2 years. Unfortunately a lot of the issues with Kelly didn’t come out till a few weeks before he was fired. Had I known he wouldn’t take a call from a recruit or wasn’t at the football complex a lot or went on vacation during the open date I would have want him gone earlier too.

Why do "So Called" fans criticize constantly, the man who coached LSU to the greatest championship in NCAA history.

The Man who was sabotaged by every one from the Governor , to the Athletic Director.

Don't believe your lying eyes, ESPN, or record books.
Believe the "Whiners" who are never satisfied until we are back in the middle or lower, of the Conference. We are almost there.

Legit question, why do you think a guy like Coach O doesn’t love LSU?

You know two things can be true at the same time, right? The only reason both of those guys are gone is bc the program decided to move on from them. Both of those dudes would be at lsu if they had the opportunity. Neither would have ever left on their own for a lateral position at another program

Agree BK didn't give two shits about LSU. There's no question that Ed O and Frank love LSU.

It’s to the point if you asked an average fan they’d tell you Frank has been a part of LSU for decades. Dude has 2 middling stints here.

I have zero doubt that they do. Business and finances are messy, doesnt take away from what someone grew up loving.
