What was his crowning game this year? Just curious

His D was arse against the (few) good offenses we played

Which is fine for many, but a Top 2 paid DC? By any objective measure he's been a poor investment so far

One guy said we had 100% of our defense playing.

This is the same guy who wanted to keep trying Will Helmers at 3rd base 4 seasons after he committed 5 errors in 2 games.

You have to be able to stuff Houston with a loaded box. Giving up that run was inexcusable.

I believe his defense got LSU to a bowl game. Without Baker and his defense, I don't think LSU wins 6 games this year.

Florida (Lagway was having stroke-like symptoms)

Clemson (we know what they are now)

OU (average SEC offense at best)

The entire season? We had the worst offense in school history and were in every single game, outside of A&M, in the 4th quarter.

It's not his fault that the offense would run 3 plays and punt more than half the time.

First off, we played 5 of the top 8 scoring offenses in the SEC (and 4 of the top 5). So I’m not sure wtf you’re talking about when you say we played “few” good offenses.

Of those teams, we held:
- Ole Miss to their lowest score of the season.
- Vanderbilt to their 3rd-lowest score of the season.
- Arkansas to their 3rd-lowest score of the season.
- Alabama to their 3rd-lowest score of the season.

The only good offense we truly sucked against was Texas A&M. And even in that game, 21 of those points came on short fields (touchdown drives of 50, 33, and 29 yards).

Prior to today, LSU ranked:
- #4 in the SEC for scoring defense
- #6 in the SEC for total defense
- #4 in the SEC (and #10 in the country) for SP+ defense, which is opponent-adjusted.

The biggest problem all year - and tonight is no exception - has been depth. But it’s silly to act like the defense has been “arse” (your words).

Tell us the context. Muh 6 starters were out so they had 4 and 3 stars in there vs 3 and 2 star UH players.

Missing six starters and others opted out.

I sort of expected this.

Exactly opt outers are the ones they should be hating on.
