Say they wish they would have gone to trade school, I'm going to blow a gasket.
I'm a plumber. There is nothing glamorous about it. Nasty work, long hours, dealing with the weather, HARD physical work. Zero benefits, no retirement no health insurance, nothing. My body has aged well past its years at this point.
On top of all that, trades companies are being bought up by private equity and becoming unbearable.
So next time office fig, keep your trap shut and keep pushing paper cause the grass ain't greener on the other side.

Plumbing is one trade I wouldn’t want to do. Every plumber I see has a shovel in his truck.
frick a shovel.
frick a shovel.

A) I agree with your points
B) Are office workers really talking about how they wished they were in the trades?
I figured it was mostly a semi-ironic OT thing.

Just go ahead and say it: “you’re tired of people’s shite”.
Anyhow a jobs a job. It’s never glorious dealing with other people

Hey, can you hit the plunger in the women’s real quick? There’s shitty water all over the floor again. Thanks

My great uncle was a master plumber and a pretty good electrician. He would often say, "Boy, I've dug more with a screwdriver than most people have with a shovel." He spent a lot of time under floors.

You ever recreate that scene from Ace Ventura just to see what happens?

I would think new construction plumbing wouldn’t be all that bad, but I’m sure it’s a tough job dealing with other stuff.
I see people always mentioning they want to go be a welder. Not sure many realize how hard that kind of work is. Welding in the summer in full FRCs or even in vessels and such is a job I could never do no matter the pay.

Mike Rowe finds your lack of faith disturbing.

Define “office worker”.
You mean the guy doing the job you were never capable of doing anyway?

Why are tradies obsessed with office workers? Nobody in white collar professions has beef with yall.

How many "office workers" do plumbers rub shoulders with on an average work day? Just curious.

Why don’t you hire a few guys? Teach them the trade, or find some right out of school. Start turning more of the grunts work over to them while you become an actual business owner. You’ll make a living, but never get rich being a one man show.

Shoveling is far from the worst thing about being a plumber
