The one at the company I work for constantly screws stuff up.

You have to watch them because they set up your benefits incorrectly and omit stuff, they set up the wrong vacation and sick time benefit schedules, designate you as the wrong type of employee, calculate an incorrect amount to contribute to your 401K, forget to add your family to your health insurance plan, etc.

It’s impressive how incompetent they are. I feel like I always have to watch them to make sure I’m not getting screwed out of something.

HR departments are 80% women. Do you know many things that women are completely in control of that work properly?

But you’re correct, HR departments are a joke

People Services not HR you mysogynist has become VERY powerful. I remember on a business trip to Dallas about 15 years ago I stayed at either a Gaylord or Gray Wolf Lodge and there was an HR tradeshow. My mind was blown at all the DEI shite i saw. There were billboards with class info near all the conf rooms and I honeslty thought passing by the conference classes that it was a thematic prank. Those that think DEI, Aff Action, and political correctness is new to the table,.. well it's not. It's just finally getting implemented. I think the BS we are seeing now is just the tip of the iceberg.

I worked in IT audit for a few years and it was pathetic how many findings we received because of HR. What’s worse is they did absolutely nothing to improve and just left it as “whoops sorry! Human beings make mistakes”. I guess it’s going to take a nice fine from some foreign regulatory body to motivate leadership to actually makes some changes.

Women should be taking care of children and making pancakes. Not running corporations. Women know this, that's why they are mad. Trying to make "new normal" and pushing "girl power" on the little girls. The little girl wants a Barbie doll, not a science kit.

O man. You’ll love this story then:

manage fires entire HR staff

quote:

A recent incident at a company has led to the dismissal of half its HR team after a manager discovered a significant flaw in the applicant tracking system (ATS) used for hiring. This system, intended to improve the recruitment process, was automatically rejecting all job candidates, including the manager's own application.

Just out of curiosity, how many straight white men are in HR's in general?

I'd guess very few.

We have 300+ employees on site, total company around 1200 give or take.

We do not have and do not need an HR department.

HR people are useless as teats on a boar. Try contributing something of net value to society instead.

this happened to me but it was dental. My wife had to have some dental work done , I had renewed my insurance at the open enrollment. My wife calls me and tells me that she’s not insured. I go to HR lady, she says “ Well you didn’t list her”. I had her pull the files. Turns out I did list her. HR lady says “ oops we all make mistakes “. I was livid I go to upper management, nothing could be done My direct supervisor got involved helping me and then we got a call from management department head , if we didn’t drop it we would both be terminated. I had to come out of pocket 2k

Over 35 year span, 3 women and each were quite skilled...the rest, not so much but I avoided them by working with the 3 skilled.

Yes, a reflection of our society in general. Also, an extension of how our schools are managed.

I left a company and HR tried to get me to come back in to sign a backdated offer letter that would've changed my commission structure and I would've had to pay them back...

Told them I'd run it by my lawyer and never heard back. A lot of these companies hire entry level employees who don't have a clue what they're doing.

I was one of 2 Men, and the only White in an HR department of 54 total for a Fortune 250. I was head hunted and moved to lead a team.

When I arrived in 2016, we had slightly under 100k employees total and over 1/3 of those active employees had never had an I9 done. Including most of our corporate office. Mind blowing. Not even shitting you. Just the most easy, basic shite to do. They just didn’t have a clue that shite was going on. The incompetence of this and about 1000 other things I saw made me leave less than 6 months after joining.

I left because as a White man in a sea of black women, I legitimately was starting to get nervous they would get hit with another major lawsuit and somehow try to throw me under the bus so they themselves weren’t fricked. It was so mismanaged I was scared of going to fricking jail for these dumb bitches.
