Thing is, even given that it's Florida, it'll take some time to execute him. In Singapore, there'd be a trial and then a 40 day appeals process, then an execution.

This had nothing to do with a football game.
He was criminally insane. At least he had the decency to kill himself after murdering his wife and shooting his step-daughter in the face as she begged him not to.
