Ive heard rumors. But the Mayor is still serving, Bankrupted the city.
Stole the pensioner monies from the Fire Fighters, Police and Civil servants.

Pocketed the tax money and spent it on drugs and weapons, selling/giving them to the local gang that he favors.

Took over the airport, where the pilots would turn their GPS units off before they landed then deliever drugs/weapons, get back in the air and turn them back on.

Bankrupted the entire city.

Latest Ive heard is the father of the mayor is black mailing the DA into not proscuting the Mayor, threating to take all of them down with him.

Anyone else keeping tabs here?

The DA being blackmailed?

I don’t see it.

I know there are issues but this would lead to federal charges with the quickness with the current admin, or,.at the least, AG intervening via Landry.

Just because a local DA won't prosecute doesn't mean it would end there. Not with those allegations

This one is worse than most. The mayor is a crook. But he gets elected because most of the voters are in the theft business.

Feels like there’s a message you’re trying to convey, but I’m not quite getting it.

Mayor has been indicted on multiple charges. The State put them under fiscal administration because of the pension risks. FA is a capable accountant that will get the bills sorted out. Every problem the town has is because of the paper mill and racial tension that a bunch of old people won’t let go.

ITEP keeps the mill from having to pay for the infrastructure they destroy. Schools are ruined because the white adults in the 90s just argued about shite from 1965. The place stinks, although not as bad as most people remember. Now the houses are all rentals and the Genco’s run all that shite. They’re trashy as frick. It’s really a said situation. There is hope for the southeastern part of the parish though. The 4 lane highway connecting to I-12 could bring some industrial development to the area known as Lees Creek.

They can’t sustain Bogalusa’s expenses when there’s no tax base and your largest industry runs people off while also tearing up your roads and bridges and not having to pay taxes to fix it.

Is that the case here?

Again, I just don’t see the DA not investigating if that stuff is even remotely true.
