My family lives out of state in upstate NY. They sent me something on the 5th and it still hasn't come yet. Its stuck "in transit" in Omaha for like 10 days now. I try calling and nothing.
Meanwhile what i shipped was via UPS and got there in less than a week.

USPS has gotten crappier in my area too. Ten years ago it was just fine- dunno what's happened.
I try to avoid it like the plague.

Is this you peoples first Christmas?
I am shocked at the amount of threads started where people have not idea that shipping packages and mail is slow in December.

Its a govt agency
So is Federal Express apparently.
They seem to just find the most convenient house within a 1/4 mil radius to drop my packages off. I guess the driver thinks I'll find it eventually.

I know exactly why but I'm not getting banned. I'm good.

Good News: They will successfully ship billions of items.
Bad News: They chose your address to catch all the failures
However, as a direct answer to your questions below.
Please give me a few days and I be right back with you on this.

Look at their employees. They are a step up from a home caregiver

Meh.
Like you all saying we all know when Christmas is and we should plan correctly, maybe the USPS could plan every year that December will be crazy and ramp up some overtime and such in early December to get a head start on clearing stuff out.
Or maybe work better however that do things with Amazon or UPS.
Not a problem for me as my wife has everything done.
Slow is one thing, but some of the stories I’m hearing are ridiculous.
I will wait for Mingo tell me I’m an idiot now.

I bought a computer for my son for Christmas on eBay. It was being shipped out of New Jersey USPS. It was at the post office and scanned on the 10th. It was then scanned at the New Jersey distribution center on the 14th. Since then it has been lost on the post office has no idea where it is. I did get my money back through eBay

Dollar to a donut you will never receive the package. It has been lost, damaged or stolen.

Like hire temporary staff and deliver every day including sundays? Which they already do
The modern postal service is a miracle. Sorry you can’t get your Chinese shite in 2 days before Christmas tho
