Key Points:

Creatine promotes artery dilation, which is important in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Small blood vessels also function better with creatine, promoting cardiovascular health.
Supplementing with creatine counteracts high blood glucose and triglyceride levels, which are risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, shortening the lifespans of millions. Most cardiovascular disease treatments target the arteries, such as statins, yet the deterioration of smaller blood vessels — our microvasculature — is also linked to the progression of cardiovascular disease. Some scientists even argue that microvasculature deterioration is the cause of aging.
In light of searching for a cost-effective preventative measure against cardiovascular disease, researchers from Florida State University have discovered that creatine combats both artery and microvasculature aging. Their findings add to the growing body of evidence demonstrating the body-wide anti-aging effects of creatine supplementation.

Are y’all taking mono or the other kind?

Thinking of switching it up from mono to the other kind.

I use both mono and hcl. Try it and see for yourself both are cheap.

I take 15g of mono creapure split up in multiple dosages. I take 2.2 grams of hcl in my water during my workout. It’s way more concentrated and soluble than mono. Seems gentler on stomach and less bloat for most people. I see no reason not to use both but just creapure is fine as well. People debate if hcl is ‘worth it’ but it’s not much more expensive than creapure.

Where can you buy Creatine?
Amazon, Costco, Walmart, GNC...it's widely available, Google is your friend

How much should you take?
minimum 5 grams daily, I take 15-20 gm

Which brand is best?
I use Orgain & Optimum Nutrition from Costco, many reputable brands out there (again, Google is your friend)

Can you put Creatine in a protein shake?

You will see differences at 5 grams a day after a few weeks. IMO creatine is the best supplement available by a long shot. I personally take 20 to 25 g a day. Be careful some people have stomach issues initially. In higher doses it's shown to have cognitive benefits such as reaction time, memory, fog. I'm a shift worker and sometimes I lose some sleep to not miss important events and I can say it greatly reduces the mental side effects of sleep deprevation. It doesn't make you wired or anything just clear.

Creatine with the Creapure label are slightly more expensive, but easier on your stomach.

I buy the 2.2lb Nutricost from Amazon. It's around $60. If you take 5g daily then it'll last 200 days.

You can mix with anything, but loses some of it efficacy when mixed with coffee. I just mix mine in an electrolyte like Gatorade Zero packets.

I also take a second serving after lifting and mix with water. Also, if you mix with grape juice or eat some grapes, a banana, etc then you can elevate your insulin levels and amplify your results.

I bought the ON brand today at GNC, looking forward to get started.
thx
Happy New Year.
