Someone get this man a GoFundMe for his poor football program and those poor athletes making far more than the average fan watching them.
CFB is in such a sad state now.

that’s the issue with the current setup is it’s a race to the bottom…every year some new recruit or transfer sets a market that then other want and it just keeps going up and up
was it Troy Aikman or another host who said they donated to NIL for a player and got nothing in return, not even a “Thank You” note and then the player transferred out and his money was just gone? Boosters won’t keep putting up for this shite for much longer

He made a good point a while back that every restaurant in town should have a menu item that is the NIL special or something hat is like $5 more than normal price and that $5 of every one sold goes to their NIL contribution. I'm sure there are some logistics issues around it, but just think if every restaurant and bar had something like that, every drunk student would be buying whatever the item is like crazy and not think anything of it.

If I can write a $20M, why the hell do I care about being famous?

And, yes, this needs to be a yearly donation.
It's why you need infrastructure and organization to really compete.
ASU is well behind. I don't blame Dillingham. He's doing the right thing. But, someone needs to be building this behind the scenes or it's all going to be fruitless.

So, in this scenario, there is a person so successful in their life that they can simply "stroke" a 20 million dollar check, but this person needs to be so insecure that they need Kenny Dillingham to make them famous?

Maybe it's time for college football to start acting like the mature business it is and pay for costs out of revenue.
I'd like to see financial reforms at universities in general but if a high-ranking school employee is going to publicly beg for funds, that money should probably go to students who actually want an education.

I kinda think the whole system is on an unsustainable path, and the only people who are really enjoying It are the fans of teams that have a lot of money.

This is why we got Rich Rod. He is coaching for cheap so we could actually pay for some good players during this last recruiting cycle. He also said players would get dressed in a trash can if you paid them. The point is the era of paying a lot for a HC and expensive facilities might be over. Good players will play anywhere for cash. If Ball State finds some rich sugar daddy they could be Oregon or TT as well.
I think this whole situation is stupid, but this is what is now. Adapt or die.

Players got paid before in the sec. Now they’re out in the open. Y’all started this

LMAO Coming from the school who has bought players ever since Phil realized he could funnel money through the program. Like a School in Oregon with the wonderful weather and rich history of a program all of a sudden started getting players like Mariota, LaMichael James, Kayvon Thibedeaux, etc.
When before 2000 the most wins your program had was 9, and hell that happened only like 7 times in almost 90 years.
At least we don't act like we are all high and mighty by saying we didn't pay players. No sh*t sherlock every program was paying players that could, the SEC was and is just better at it.

Graham Rossini needs to do his job, and he should have already been on top of this.
