Why was there never unanimous bi partisan support to release these and help the victims?

The slush fund pisses me off the most... by far.

Very friggin strange that pound-me-too never quite reached the true echelons of the Elite.

Solid point. They buried it. With zero objection from their muh Ethics Committee.

I think the people up in DC are cursing what was once a virtuous institution. It’ll likely end up in a smoking ruins if it keeps up. And it will because “the love of money is the root of all evil”.

Live and learn.

Is it even a love of money? So many are silly rich... after a point it must not matter.

The love of power... that though...

I don't care if it ruins 90% of sitting Republicans. And by that, I mean I don't care who it destroys. Release the info. I have always wanted the slush fund records 100% open to the public. You shouldn't even be able to get a dime without authorizing the release of the pending suit / settlement info.

Someone should hit Massie with this......and AOC, and Jeffries. Lets have transparency.

Hit them with the Slush Fund. That's tax money and WE demand to see it.

They’re already talking about impeaching Trump and bondi for supposedly not cooperating. This is ludicrous when Massie abstained from voting for Omar to be censured. They say they’re acting in americas interest but I don’t trust 535 career congressmen. There’s no such thing as co equal parts of the government when 535 members stick together with immunity.

From a 2020 article

545 vs 300,000,000 Charley Reese

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted – by present facts – of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for
peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his arse.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

It is incredulous but I feel the reason is politicians dream about being a POTUS. Therefore, they protect themselves while trying to tear down the current POTUS. No way do they want to expose themselves.

Thank God we have a POTUS right now who is laying them out to bare. Executive Power has diminished but his efforts shall restore it.

I don’t understand why trump doesn’t stop everyone and everything until the slush fund gets released, he should be screaming about it daily ditto with the Georgia voting issue. Non stop talk until it becomes news

Because it doesn’t potentially involve Trump.
