If Sam Leavitt was healthy and a sure day 1 starter he’d be my top choice but there’s a real chance he misses the first 3 or 4 games before he’s ready. Sorsby is one hell of a player though. Big time athlete and he has that alpha type energy on the field.
I also really like Colton Joseph from Old Dominion. He played lesser competition but he might be the most naturally gifted QB in the portal.
That said, I trust in Lane’s judgement at quarterback though and the one he picks to be his starter (Chambliss is likely to lose his waiver appeal) LSU has to be ready to do whatever it takes financially to get his guy.

Look, Lane made lemonade out of lemons with Chambliss but he isn’t anywhere near the talent of Leavitt, Sorsby or Joseph. We need to swing for the fences at QB. I’m really hoping this new DL coach somehow gets Dylan Stewart to leave SCar for LSU. He’d immediately play Pyburn’s role at RDE.

I’m thinking the hate for LSU & now Kiffin as our Coach, they’ll make him sign a clause “We’ll give a waiver if you don’t transfer to LSU or it’s a no go”

It’s a lisfranc surgery. He could also miss more time if it gives him problems. They can be notorious long recoveries and still present with a ton of soreness but even more so stiffness even when healed. It would be dangerous as hell to make him the top guy.

Good pitch to make. We're going to take 2 but you are our top guy if you are healthy but you won't have to worry or rush back if you aren't.

Those are the two I would portal sign, and let them battle it out. I think we could get both for the price of leavitt and others. I like to have two new QB's. I'm tired of becoming impotent with an injured qb, and that is what we would have with Leavitt, and very expensive non productive Leavitt
