@SorenPetro
There is a meeting scheduled in Topeka on Monday. I'm being told the Chiefs are scheduled to be at that meeting, however the Royals are not. Barring a last minute "screw up by someone at the top" announcing the Chiefs are moving to Kansas will happen after that meeting.

Not like they would be leaving the area. It would be like a Memphis team moving to Southaven.

The bigger deal is they won't be in Arrowhead anymore. Very disappointing

Like the Chicago Bears moving to Hammond, Indiana (not to be confused with Hammond, America).

He's said that before and no announcement was made. I think the Chiefs will continue to draw this out for a while so both states continue to increase their offers.

It's so dumb. All that money for a stadium with 0% of the history thats only 20% better

It was pretty much assumed when KCMO voted down their new stadium.

The AFC west going to all domes by the mid 2030s is hard to wrap your head around. When combined with the AFC south and Cleveland, over half the conference will play in a dome. There’s something to be said for keeping a classic stadium rather than building Mercedes Benz Clone #17.

I don't get it. You can throw a retractable roof in arrowhead and gut/remodel the Concourse for probably half the cost of a new stadium just like Miami did to Pro Player Field.

It's a win win, no? Owners get what they ultimately want with greed and year round events and a SB, while the historic stadium stays intact, home field advantage with weather (aka real football), and it's still a great TV product instead of antiseptic corprorate nothingness.

What am I missing here?

Taxpayer blackmail. If KC KS is stupid enough to pay it, they're welcome to it.
