The difference between the right and the left, and why the left always wins

First, when I say the “left always wins”, that doesn’t necessarily mean they always win elections. But their agenda is always being advanced, even when their main political representation is not in power (Democrats in America or Labor in UK, etc). It advances rapidly when they are in power, and slower when they are out of power. But it is always lurching to the left.
The main issue is that the right sees politics as an idealogical struggle. They want to win on their ideas and why their ideas are better. While the left’s only ambition is power, and often with no clear agenda other than achieving power and dominance over anyone who opposes their will to power.
This is why they can have coalitions of radical Muslims, Jews, LGBTers, women, unions, pot smoking libertarians, blacks, Catholicn Hispanics, etc
The left is not really concerned about pushing ideas on anyone,
It is largely an anti-culture that simply seeks to overthrow anyone or anything still tied to the creation of Western Civilization. It will join forces with anyone willing to destroy what it hates and take power.

it is more simple than that. People on the right are constantly convinced that being the adult, or having proper decorum, means compromising and being nice. You end up with only one side compromising because if they dont compromise they aren't being nice and will hurt the other sides' feelings. When that happens, things can only move in one direction.

Good times create weak men.
That's why the left's goals are generally reached. People don't understand the values and behaviors it takes to sustain a society. They see a society already functioning well, and assume that this is just the normal state of things. They don't know hard times, or the behaviors and values that keep the hard times at bay, because they never experienced it at all.

That’s because the goal is communism.
That’s what communism does.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the right is coming around to this now, too.
So, there’s that.

Plenty of white Catholics vote (D) to "help" the poor. And if you're going to qualify "radical muslims," then you should also qualify it as "self hating Jews." I'm making latkes again tonight, and would never vote for a marxist.

not really
the no agenda part is true, but I am convinced they are happy being out of power so they can complain

I think you gotta zoom out a bit more. The left does not always win, the pendulum has swung back and forth for generations.
It's the same pattern more or less over and over again:
party makes campaign promises
party gets elected
party fails to meet promises to some degree for some reason(s)
voters get frustrated
other party makes promises
other party gets elected
other party fails to meet....
...you get the idea.
Although I agree the definitoins of "left" and "right" are pretty fluid and are always evolving. But it still goes back and forth.

(R) always think that if they just appear less hard-line, they'll win the vote (appealing to women.) W's schtick was "compassionate conservatism," but it's been going on before that. Repeal the 19th amendment.

One of my good friends is in his 80s and has voted Democrat his whole life. He has no idea what the Democratic Party really is today. He just continues to vote for them because “they’ve done so many good things to help people.” He doesn’t understand that those programs weren’t put into place to help people, but to control them.

How can you say this about the post 2016 Democrat party?

The right doesn't know how to fight. ...and invariably they don't care as long as they stay in power.
For proof, look what the Indiana Republicans did in regards to redistricting. They're cowards.

The left is only fluid in that it keeps moving further left.

Well they lost in November and it sent them all into full retard mode.

I've likened it before to a football game where one team is always playing defense and the other is always playing offense. Sure the defense can stop them half the time and occasionally score some points via a safety or interception return but the opposing "offense only" team will eventually score more points and will ultimately wear out their opponents and score at will.
Look at immigration. Every single deportee will just come right back across our border as soon as the next Democrat is sworn in and they will be even more committed and open to the concept of open borders now that it is a wedge issue. Same with welfare, DEI, crime and every other Machiavellian tool in their hands.
It's a lost cause and were just fighting to prolong the inevitable collapse.

The left wins simply because their disjointed and bizarre beliefs are not a stumbling block to their shared Cultural Marxism Utopian goals
In this ^^^^ regard they are lock step in their collective insanity.
I think America First/MAGA are in many ways a disparate bunch. I do believe the America First/MAGA faction of the Republican Party will eventually force the Log Cabin/Chamber of Commerce and establishment Republicans to either conform and assimilate or choose between being independent/libertarian or become part of Democratic Socialist Globalism party

It’s because the left’s agenda involves growing government and the right’s agenda is shrinking it. So all of the bureaucrats in government, and all of the government-adjacent workers, are natural allies of the left. The left has an army funded by our tax dollars.

It's hard to believe that the "si se puede" marches behind my house in Brookhaven are almost 20 years old. Buford Highway was illegal central.

The reason "they always win" is because the Devil is the great showman. he can convince anyone thru deception. He has no problems convincing them that God does'nt exist, or that there is no hell. He has no problem convincing them that a fetus is not a human, that life does not begin at conception, and that there is no consequence of sin. It is much easier to be deceived than it is to allow yourself to actually consider that the path you are taking might not be the best for you.

This describes a neighboring farmer of mine 100% . Says he was raised by his mama only and they couldn’t have made it through without gubment help and “I just believe in helping people.” A lot of us have tried to explain the current reality to him but he’s stuck in 1960 vs and ain’t changing.
