After thinking about it a lot, I feel that we have to go WR this year in the first. Getting another top flight guy to with a Olave is the right move to help Shough next year.

I understand that there are a lot of attractive defensive prospects and we need them, but building up your young promising QB has to be the highest priority

Haven't seen enough to peg who that is but someone out of Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, or Chris Brazzell. I'd target a large possession type receiver that he can trust on 3rd and gotta have it

If we have to draft an offensive weapon in the 1st I'd rather Love over any of the rd 1 WRs.

First round needs to be a BPA at a position of need.

Position(s) of need:

WR
TE
RB
OG

DE/OLB
ILB
CB

The only positions where I would say we are absolutely set with our current roster is QB, OT, and S.

It all starts up front, OL/DL unless a game changer is available at WR

Chris bell in second or third is a steel if the Med staff is on board.

I think so too. A lot more touches.

But if Caleb Downs is still on the board with our pick grab him.

When the Saints were at the peak, Brees could sit back there for 3-4 secs easy and wait for an open receiver

I think TS can have similar results if they can fix the line.

And

No

I am not comparing TS to Brees

Oh really? Who do you have at LG and RG assuming RT is Fuaga who I think needs to play inside. Our OL is dogshit we will be dogshit without good blockers up front.

OT is open if Fauga is a guard.

Otherwise agree that BPA that’s not a QB or interior o line (not a value that early) is the play.

Stop moving 1st round talents out of position and pretending like it will work.

Hate to do it again. But the smart move is a stud Olineman. It’s never sexy. But important

We got Jaylan Polk, Trey Palmer & hopefully a healthy Bub means to contribute at WR next year.
This could work out

He wouldn’t be out of position.

We need a WR, but I think we can get somebody like Boston, Brazzell, Lane, etc. at the top of the second. I just don’t want us to become the Bengals where we are all sizzle and no steak…with a broken QB we can’t protect.

Fine with that. Tyler needs to be protected and we need people up front to give us a running game.

Can’t win like we want to win without dominant O and D lines. Investment needs to be here. Can get by with serviceable WR and RB if you have the best O line in the division. Watching back the highlights of Shough this weekend all of his key good passes resulted from great protection and a decent pocket. Panthers rushed 4 and we blocked them giving a clean pocket to step up and throw. It’s really simple.

As much as I would love this to happen, the smart play is to grab one of the DL or OL guys. RB ain’t doing diddly poo behind this OL, plus RB is not a premium position. Gotta focus on the premium slots at that point in the draft
