-government shut down negatively affecting everyone
-republican party in general take all the negative PR hit for “pulling” the subsidies and give the Ds ammunition for midterms

The four moderate House Republicans who rebelled against House Speaker Mike Johnson are Brian Fitzpatrick, Mike Lawler, Rob Bresnahan, and Ryan Mackenzie. They joined Democrats to force a vote on extending key Affordable Care Act subsidies.
