Serious question about Rob and Michelle Reiner on something they did

Anyone who is familiar with having a child with addiction and or mental problems. This from an article. Link below.
The key sentence here……
Reiner had attended the bash with his parents, who had just confided in friends that they were 'scared' and increasingly worried that 'his mental state was deteriorating,' a neighbour has said.
If Rob and Michelle were worried about their son’s behavior and the insane history of his son, and his mental state, why did they bring him to Conan’s party????

Today it emerged that before his parents were found stabbed to death, the prime suspect had been 'freaking everyone out' at the party hosted by family friend and TV host, Conan. 'Nick was acting crazy. He kept asking people if they were famous,' a source told PEOPLE about the event. Nick reportedly ended up in a 'very loud argument' with his worried parents in front of guests, apparently over his refusal to go back into rehab, with one onlooker claiming he had 'seemed high on something'. Reiner had attended the bash with his parents, who had just confided in friends that they were 'scared' and increasingly worried that 'his mental state was deteriorating,' a neighbour has said.

Because libtards don't use logic.

If he had mental issues and drug abuse why’d they bring him to a party? Indeed the question to ask.

Afraid to leave him home by himself?

Why did he start using drugs in the first place? What was he trying to mask? Was he abused as a kid?

They brought him to the party because Rob was trying to jump-start a career in Hollywood for his son. Rob had already bank-rolled and directed a semi autobiographical film about his son called "Being Charlie".
Rob Reiner brought him to Conan O'Brien's holiday party to "network" and build connections with people in the Hollywood mass media industry.
Rob thought his son could hold it together for a couple of hours.

There was a picture recently of the family at a dinner table. The picture screamed "I am slap nuts crazy".

Because "scared" didn't mean they thought he'd murder them, it meant they thought he might embarrass them.

Everything I know about Rob is unlikable
That said, having heard about the sagas of unwell/substance abuse/mentally ill kids, I have enormous sympathy for the prison those parents find themselves in. From observation in my circles, there are so many situations where there are no good moves.
I suspect it's basically living on eggshells every hour of every day for decades. Awful. Fear of them hurting someone else, fear of them killing themselves, fear/guilt of institutionalization and being left to decline by the people they think should be protecting them, etc.

Turns out he was lucky the kid didn't go full-on berserker and slaughter half of Hollywood.

Not sure of the specifics, but lefties LOOOVE to normalize psychosis and deviant sexual behavior... The stay drunk on fear and hate for anything traditional, mainstream, or religious. They are addicted to shoving weird shite in everyone's faces and forcing us to pretend like its normal.

Embarrassment is the least of their problems as they likely burn for eternity.

It's probably one of those parties that is essentially an open house where the guest list has remained unchanged for years and so long as you haven't destroyed anything or really pissed the host off you can come.
Probably Reiner's kid came seperatel or met up with his parents there. It sounds like he was massively tweeked up.
Was he living at his parent's house?

This is dumb. 99% chance posters on this board have kids who struggled or are struggling with addiction. It doesn’t mean they were abused.

I don't disagree. But then, you and I obviously don't think the way these people do.

Wasn’t pretty well known he pumped his son out as a boy for “fun” with other men?
No wonder the kid had issues.
