All time moment. And completely justifiable after the Jets tried to rip AB’s head off.
25th anniversary of “The Toss”
We Stand With Kyle Turley

Was at that game and that was such a sick moment

I was always so upset his finger caught the helmet and he didn’t get a clean toss off

Will Kyle be meeting with Mickey Loomis at the game? He is the first person to go on the record as saying he is nothing but a bean counter. He was correct.

He had started a band over 10 years ago. Don't know if they are still playing.

I'll never forget that game. I spent the first half in my seat in the Club Level looking up into the luxury suites on their TV while game 7 of the 2001 World Series was played. (Luis Gonzales hit the walk off single for Arizona to beat the Yankees)
About 45 minutes after that Kyle throws the helmet.
And I also remember there were something like 5-7 fights in the stands that night, which was unusual for a Saints game. Damn Jets fans.

I just loved the tenacity the dude brought to the team.

I was there.
Kyle Turley will never be honored by the Saints. He burned all of his bridges on the way out. I remember a scathing interview on WWL when he ripped the front office and called Loomis nothing more than a bean counter. He was trying to force a trade and he was successful.
ETA
If Mickey has any sway in this organization (and he obviously does) he should say that Turlely will be honored over his dead body.
That insulting quote below was just the tip of the iceberg. Turley acted like a complete jerk on his way out.

People xan say what they want. I became a die hard Turkey fan after this. Then the dumbass couldn't stop on his way out the door. Trashing the city and the franchise
You either die a hero or live long enough....
Looking at you too Joe. The Falcons. Things we never forget.

On the people of New Orleans: “The people are the salt of the earth and they proved that to me every day.”
He has repeatedly spoken warmly about the city’s residents and fans.
? • On his time with the Saints: In a 2010 interview, Turley said his time in New Orleans was “the best five years of my life and playing career” and that he was “proud to have worn that black and gold uniform.”
quote:
On Mickey Loomis: “Mickey Loomis is a bitch. You can print that one as your headline. He still, to this day, is running from me.”

That's one interview. I remember when he first signed with Rams another where he dug his heels and went full heel.

I was at that game but in the opposite end zone unfortunately, it was hard to see exactly what happened, so we didn’t know we were witnessing Saints lore. Was with my dad, who has since passed away, I don’t think I ever saw him laugh that hard. Every time the Saints would come up for the next 20 years, he’d say, ‘what ever happened to Turley? That guy was a maniac.’ Made an impression for sure.

Wait. What do you think this thread is about?

And Hasslet completely threw him under the bus when all Turley was doing was protecting his QB during a highly charged moment.
Jets were playing dirty on Aaron Brooks all game and if today's QB rules were in effect the Saints would have been gifted multiple red zone drives..
