Trinidad Chambliss when asked about where he'll play next year (if he gets the waiver)

"I would have to consider like what the best situation is for me what I feel most comfortable with, who I trust the most. And just get a feel for, every possibility really. So that just, there's a lot that goes into that."

Kewan Lacy when asked about the LSU rumor (the phone call, with Lane saying Lacy would follow him to LSU)

"It was just a surprise, I've just been keeping my mindset on just trying to go 1-0 and focus on the run we're having right now. So I don't get into all of that."

I think Chambliss would get drafted. Day 3 pick but I think he’s shown enough to get a shot. But I would think he makes more on a 1 year NIL deal than he would as a 6th rounder.

OM will break the bank to keep these two and the WR>

Blank check.

That said, there will be an opportunity to compel OM to spend the bulk of its money on these 3.

Can someone explain why Chambliss needs a waiver/court ruling to be eligible next season?

He only played in 2 games in 2022, is that automatically a redshirt or do you have to apply for one?

LSU has a much larger bank than Ole Miss.

He redshirted in 2021, something that most reports on his situation neglect to point out. I saw somewhere that the waiver is based on a medical redshirt, but I do not know if that is due to an injury in 2021 or 2022. Ultimately, the basis is a difference in redshirt rules between DII and DI, but it’s going to take proving extraordinary circumstances.

People putting a lot of faith in Chambliss being eligible for next season. There has to be other alternatives to Chambliss and Underwood with both being seemingly long shots.

Agreed that LSU has more to spend than Ole Miss. With the way Ole Miss has been acting (like an emotional teenage girl), don’t discount the idea of Ole Miss WAYYY overpaying for current players who may follow Lane to LSU.

They’ve shown that they’d rather lose on the field than allow Lane to have his way.

They will shutter the university before they allow any one of the 3 to come to LSU, especially the QB.

Break their piggy bank (and still get equal or better players). Win win.

Figured I'd ask this here, instead of starting a new thread (as the answer could be out there somewhere).

When will Chambliss know if his request for another year of eligibility is approved? I've heard ad nauseum about this waiver, but never when a decision would be made.

Lacy feels like a guarantee

On3 reported that Kiffin is evaluating the entire QB market before zeroing in on his top target, BUT if Chambliss is our back up option I’m fine with that

According to Sports Illustrated, Chambliss said on December 11 that he expected a ruling within a week.

Yeah, I think we’re getting both of those guys. Might want to watch Ole Miss in the playoffs cause that’s our offense next year.
