This is in part a FYI response to the "Why are white women so weak as a whole?" thread.

quote:

just 38% of single women voted Trump in 2024, 52% of married women voted for him. 53% of White married women voted for him. Ominously, to the best of my knowledge, this was the first election in which single women outnumbered married women at the polls.

The interests of those two groups are quite disparate.

America’s Marriage Gap Was on Full Display in 2024 Election | Opinion

It was supposed to be the gender-gap election. In Iowa, pollster Ann Selzer had Vice President Kamala Harris beating former president Donald Trump by more than 20 points among women, which wouldn't have been that far off the 15-point margin President Joe Biden won them by in 2020. And Seltzer's margin was largely in line with the predictions of news outlets—with CBS reporting 12 points, NBC 16, and USA Today 17. But all of these prognostications turned out to be horribly wrong.

The overall gender gap actually narrowed in 2024, with just 53 percent of women choosing Harris and 45 percent favoring Trump. But focusing on gender alone obscures a bigger picture, a story that not only explains the most recent election, but the leftward drift of the Democratic Party generally, and possibly future electorates to come. While women overall moved towards Trump, his support among unmarried women fell from 46 percent in 2020 to just 38 percent in 2024. He was saved by winning married women, extending his lead among married men, and flipping unmarried men to his side, 49 to 47 percent.

By holding his ground among married women and adding to his lead among married men, Trump was able to expand his lead among all married voters from just seven points in 2020 to 13 points in 2024. Donald Trump is president thanks to the votes of married Americans. This was the marriage-gap election.

As strong as Trump was among married Americans, and despite his gains among unmarried men, the exit polls did contain some troubling news for the Republican Party. For the first time ever, unmarried women outnumbered married women at the polls. Not only are unmarried women the nation's fastest-growing voting demographic, they are also the only demographic moving further to the Left. Unless Trump does something to stop our nation's falling marriage rate, the Left-leaning politics of unmarried women will only grow in strength at the ballot box....

Anatomy of the Women’s Vote in the 2024 Presidential Election
by Dante Chinni
January 13, 2025

The gender gap in American politics has become a chasm in recent years and 2024 was no exception.

In November, AP VoteCast, a survey of voters conducted on and around Election Day, found Republican President-elect Donald Trump won male voters by 12 percentage points, while Democratic nominee Kamala Harris won female voters by six percentage points. That adds up to an 18-point gender gap.

But the idea that “women are Democrats” does not completely hold up when viewed through the 15 American Communities Project’s county types. For instance, while Harris won the women’s vote by more than 20 percentage points in some community types, Trump won women by more than 30 points in others.

Furthermore, the differences in the women’s vote are not so easily explained with the usual urban/rural, married/non-married, college degree/no degree splits. Rather, there appears to be other cultural factors at play in the way women look at politics today.

The Vote by Community Type
One thing that jumps out from the data is Harris only won the women’s vote in the four ACP types that she carried overall: the African American South, Big Cities, College Towns, and Urban Suburbs. In every other community type, Trump carried the women’s vote — and by more than 60 percentage points in the Aging Farmlands and Evangelical Hubs.
...

Again, it’s not a surprise that the vote from women, who make up more than 50% of the U.S. population, is complicated. But the numbers here serve as a reminder that broad, general characterizations about large segments of the electorate can be misleading. And the political differences at the community level in the United States can be vast and driven by a wide range of factors.

Ya the misconception is that women vote Democrat, when in reality SINGLE women vote overwhelming vote Democrat. That's the actual divide.

The state is their proxy provider.

I get the same crap. Just this morning I was watching the local CBS station in Dallas and they were showing the start of the BMW Dallas Marathon. Idiots standing around in running shorts and tank tops in 29° waiting for the start. I was texting my wife who is out of state to see her parents and wrote that I was "watching it", but autocorrect finished it off as "breathing it".

Single women don’t have someone to help them think.

Women get a vote. What can be done about that?

Single women with no skin in the game in the perpetuation of society will not vote in the interests of society.

Some of you baws need to start taking one for the team. Get these women off the market and into child rearing.

Maybe bring back polygamy?

If I typed worth a damn, I wouldn't have to worry about it. But I end up dictating some of these posts, and the results can be funny. A couple of days ago, I laid down a post but forgot to hit submit. I stepped away for a minute to watch a CNBC report, and then just before hitting "submit," I realized the computer had picked up a bunch of that news report and included it in my post. But apparently it couldn't hear the TV well enough to get the news report dictation anywhere close to right. Made it look like I was having a stroke.

They want govt to take care of them. Married women already have someone taking care of them.

I wonder how the breakdown is by age range between single with no kids vs single with kids.

And to that point DINKs vs married with kids.

Siri is just as bad.

Yesterday, I dictated the word “frenetic.” She typed “phonetic,” so then I repeated myself. She typed “frantic.” Finally, I manually typed “frenetic.“

That’d be like putting a bull shark in your swimming pool to make the gulf safer to swim.

I’ll pass.

Single women, especially ones who grew up without a father figure as is the case with many these days, are far easier to manipulate (brainwash) than ones who have a strong male presence in their lives.

Its no coincidence that virtually everything the left endorses domestically involves the destruction of the nuclear family.

This has been well documented all the way back to George Orwell himself who was well aware of how susceptible to propaganda the young female mind seems to be.

Force women to not work? I tend to agree that most women will be happy to be an at-home wife/mother. But a lot of baws need to make themselves more valuable and stop working an hourly kind of job unless the hourly is way north of $50.

Otherwise, if your woman doesn't want kids ... what's the answer here?
