Sorry, but we have a team this year. Your heart will be broken several times, but reaching the Big Dance and making it to the 2nd weekend will be worth it.

People who say it is “impossible” to know anything about this team until SEC play isn’t following
We can beat many many teams when Max is on but when he is off it could get dicey. However the team fights and plays hard and is athletic and long. We have an elite PG with supreme length so we will see. We just beat a team by double digits that has already beaten 2 SEC teams and ranked 31st in NET. LSU will be 12-1 with a top 35 NET ranking going into SEC so I very much expect a tourney bid

100%, look we’re not even able to discuss the record or the facts about his tenure because this cult will derail any honest discussion so we surely can’t talk about why he was hired. What we can assume is he’s not Verge’s guy so the new admin isn’t going to carry dead weight for Woodys nonsense.

We just beat a team that will win 20+ games and finish in the top 3rd of the ACC. This is his biggest non conference win at LSU.

I’m not as big of a believer in SMU. We’ve got to do a better job scheduling in the OOC schedule. I like that we played them in a “neutral site”. Which will increase the value of the win. I think SMU is in the 4th tier of the ACC. Witch is a bubble team. Around .500 in conference. 19-20 wins.

Well they’ve already beaten two other SEC teams on the road so I’d say you need to believe SMU a little more than you do. This is a really good win for LSU no matter how you want to spin it.

We all the know the result of his tenure thus far. No one disputes that. It has certainly been discouraging. However, this team seems to be decent so let's give them a chance.
Speaking of sucking, you should get over Wade because his tenure is over. If Verge has the financial support to remove McMahon after a bad season then so be it, but at least be a Tiger and support the team we have rather than tie a rope around their necks.
In Saban's early years we had a cornerback named Demetrius Hookfin who was shaky to say the least but Saban's approach was "these are the players we have and we're going to support them and coach 'em up". Hookfin ended up making some big plays from time to time.
Maybe this Tiger team will have enough strong games to make the tourney. I hope so.

LSU increases the MBB NIL budget for 2025, getting out of the SEC cellar in spending (13th of 14), and viola, we have a competent team. Maybe, just maybe, it's not all on McMahon. Personally, I don't care who the coach is as long as he wins. I will always want him to win. Some of you have hated McMahon since the day he was hired because he's not Will Wade.

SMU is a real team so it’s a real win. Probably need to pump the brakes on tourney talk right now but it’s encouraging the basketball team appears to not be an absolute embarrassment at least which is definitely an improvement over the previous years with McRetard. I’ll take “not an embarrassment” this season.
