I’m all for this. frick THE IRISH. drop em USC. Even though that’s the only game they play i enjoy. Make their schedule so pathetic they become irrelevant until begging to join the acc in All sports. Tired of ND’s shite

ND is a senile grandpa with nothing but old stories

ND AD should have kept his mouth shut

Most of their future games are made up of ACC opponents.
Others are:
(2026)
USC
Navy
Rice
Wisconsin
Michigan St
Purdue
(2027)
Auburn
Purdue
Michigan St
Navy
(2028)
Texas
Arkansas
Auburn
Purdue
Navy
(2029)
Bama
USF
Texas
Navy
(2030)
Indiana
Bama
Navy
(2031)
USF
Florida
Indiana
Navy
Everyone except Navy should be working to cancel… who knows what their relationship with ACC looks like moving forward

All for this but ND has done a good job the last 30 years of making themselves irrelevant. ND is a relic of a program living off accomplishments from the 40's, 60's, and 70's.

The odd thing is it sounds like every conference signed this damn thing

Dan Wolken, didn't read.
The MOU wasn't signed without the other commissioners/AD's knowing about it. Sankey has been very pro-ND the last few days and Petitti, at least publicly, hasn't said anything anti-ND I have seen. ACC is irrelevant unless they want to release ND of the GOR which would kill the conference. Big 12 is the only conference that has come out publicly against ND.

I'm all for that. And in favor of a general rule that ANY team ranked in the top eight will receive an automatic bid. With twelve teams that's plenty of opportunity. The goal is to include every team with a possible legitimate claim to a national championship.

I think this is the Find Out portion of their little tantrum.

I have to give credit to the SEC heavyweights, especially Alabama. They could absolutely behave the way that Notre Dame does with their constant seeking of special treatment, or the way that Ohio State does (seeking uneven revenue distribution, private equity), the way USC does (blowing up its conference and all of its historic rivalries to join a midwestern conference for a few more dollars), or the way that Texas has historically behaved. But they don't. The reason the SEC is so powerful and stable is because the top programs appreciate the value of equal membership across its members and they don't publicly whine or destabilize the conference. It makes the SEC a good bet and a good business partner.

God please let this happen

There should be no preferential treatment for a team that would finish 8-10 in the sec.

But their brand, much like Bama's, has them in the playoff discussion every year. Networks like money.
