When I was daily driving a gas car, I often found myself on the freeway, scanning the horizon for gas stations because the needle is on E.

Does this exit have a station? Maybe I’ll take the next one. What if the next one doesn’t?

Range anxiety is way worse with ICE.

Now I don’t worry about this at all. I never leave with less than 80%, and at most use half of it. On a rare big trip, all my stops are planned in advance for me. I know exactly when and where I’m going to stop.

It’s just an easier way to live.

The last 4 trucks I've owned had a little section on the gauge cluster that showed me how many miles I had left on a tank of gas. Has this man never heard of GPS? Why is he so worried about there being a gas station at the next exit when one can just look it up?

I swear people just invent new things to be neurotic about. And the EV fans twist themselves into knots trying to justify their choice of vehicle to people who have no interest in driving an EV in the first place.

My truck gets roughly 17mph. I'm always well aware of how far I can go.

I hated the 18 gallon tank in my car so i put in a larger primary and auxiliary tank that puts me at 43 gallons now.

This guy never leaves home on less than 80% charge...

... but drives an ICE down to empty THEN has "range anxiety"?

He's an idiot trying to make fetch happen... range anxiety is a distinct term for EVs.

People look for gas stations when the needle is on "E"?

That's called "range anxiety"?

If you have range anxiety with an electric you will have it with an ICE.

It's called planning ahead.

ICE or EV doesn’t really matter for range anxiety. Getting range anxiety really just hinges on whether or not you are a complete retard.

If you’re not, you should rarely, if ever experience range anxiety no matter the vehicle.

It only takes once.

I ran out of gas driving a company vehicle a long time ago in the middle of I55.

NEVER again!

First thought of the title was someone scared of driving near a shooting range ( with 'near' being relative)

When my gas gauge hits one quarter tank full....I always fill it up at that point. I never worry about running out off gas.

This is usually what I do but if I am driving for a road trip and all the passengers are asleep I will stretch it until there is only 100 miles to go for the tank then I start looking.
