I-TEAM: Police say Baker teacher brought fully loaded gun to class

quote:

BAKER, La. (WAFB) - A male teacher at Baker High School was arrested and charged with a felony today for bringing a handgun into the school. The teacher, Cameron McMorris, 24, is facing charges of possession of a firearm on a school campus. The gun was discovered Tuesday when another teacher saw it and reported it to the office, sources said.

And now for the key information from “sources”

quote:

Sources told the WAFB I-TEAM, the weapon was a nine-millimeter handgun which they said weighs about six pounds fully loaded. Sources said there was no way McMorris didn’t know there was a weapon in his bag.

I love when words like “fully loaded” are used in articles.

Without bullets, a weapon is just a paper weight.

And if someone does load their weapon, are they gonna just half load it or load it only a quarter of the way?

The only way 6# is accurate is if this dude had a Pistol Caliber Carbine with a brace. Technically making it a pistol. Those weigh six pounds. There is no actual handgun that weighs six pounds.

IF this idiot brought a carbine in a backpack or something, he needs to be prosecuted for Felony Stupidity in lieu of weapons possession

I wonder if it has the ability with a 30-caliber clip to disperse with 30 bullets within half a second, 30 magazine clip within half a second.

Then you read about multiple stories how cops are refusing to run in and stop school shooters. They sat outside the door in the classroom in Texas while teachers and kids got slaughtered. Also one in Florida

I’d carry concealed if I was a teacher.

It should be allowed for teachers that have received additional training and permission from the school/district. And it needs to be completely confidential, like an air marshal.
