The will win 2 of those
5-12 will ruin the hopes of some losers who want the first pick but it's a great sign that we have the right coaching staff and the young players to complete this rebuild sooner than most thought.

I hope they win out. This team is closer than people think. Nobody expected them to do anything this year. The offense had to find an identity with a new coach & starting QB. The defense is playing very well considering the new pieces in the secondary.
More than anything, this team needs to learn how to WIN. As they say, "culture over everything", and a winning culture solves ALL.
Anybody that is hoping for them to tank, or lose out does not know ball.

Agree.
Sure sign that someone never played any type of sports is why they start talking about losing on purpose to get a better draft pick or to get a coach fired.

It’s amazing how reactive we are. We did well against the Panthers and think we will beat the falcons, but lay an absolute turd in that game. Then we play Miami and both teams look terrible. Yesterday was a good game, but the Buccs have been bad since their game in Detroit for whatever reason. They are 2-5 over the last 7 games with a beat down of us and squeaking out a win against Arizona. I’m glad we played well enough to win, but we still have a long way to go.

Look at the Pats last year. They finished strong with a rookie QB and team is #1 seed. We should be rooting for no regression from Shough. The pick won't matter if he keeps playing like this

It's crazy because Vegas could end up hitting the nail on the head.
The over-under win total for for the Saints at the beginning of the year was five.
I don't know if there's anything for sure with this team but at least they've continued to play hard.
I go back to the beginning of the year and that was one of the things that I hope to see that you did not see guys mailing it in with several weeks to go.
This is going to take a couple of years to turn around so at least it appears in some ways it's trending in the right direction.
It has looked pretty bleak at times but that's just a part of the deal.

Patriots also had a good roster and a incompetent head coach last year. Saints don't have either of those things currently

I agree that we are closer than we thought but we also have a lot of old veterans that aren’t going to make the next 2 years. We need to be very smart in draft next year and hit on FA options. We could win division next year. I don’t think we would be a threat to do anything in playoffs but could win division. It’s not strong.
