Crazy, I remember how excited I was to go to the peach bowl when we played Clemson.

You only say that because LSU is a fixture for the Texas Bowl.

Haha, I get it….but the writing is on the wall. There is only so much CFB can do to keep interest in them at this point.

ESPN will keep them propped up because they own half of them and need the programming.

They need to make the smaller bowls part of a playoff format the group of five schools. That would spark interest.

I can't remember the last time I watched a non-LSU or non-playoff bowl game.

They should give some serious consideration to playing them in week 1

That would make too much sense.

Bowl games have been irrelevant for years now. Just do away with the bowls and expand the playoffs to 16 or more. Bowls in 2025 mean absolutely nothing. With NIL, the portal, and the NFL players need something to play for in the postseason.

There will come a time very soon that there won't be enough teams to cover all the bowls. Some will have to go away.

It has been well documented that schools often lose money on bowl games by the time all the expenses are accounted for. I wasn't shocked that K-State and Iowa State bailed on their bowl game. The $500K fine they had to pay the league probably isn't much more of a financial hit than they would have taken by playing in a bowl.

They’ll be saved when they go to a 64 team bracket.

Just move the bowl games to week 0 at the start of the season.

Agreed, something's gotta happen.

They got to figure out some way to incorporate the rest of the major bowls into the playoffs.

They got to be meaningful games.

Maybe some sort of side-bracket play in game like they got with the NCAA.

They expand the playoff and make a series of bowls a play-in to the playoff.

'Conference champions' eventually gotta be awarded to the conference team that makes it the farthest in the playoffs.

Bowls bring a lot of business to the cities. So they got to be rebooted somehow Brought into the fold.

Facts, I’ll never forget the revenge game against ND at the independence bowl as a small kid and not quite understand what was going on, then full realization that we were good and legit as we beat GT in the peach! Crazy and the next year on top of the world the finally making it to sec championship defeating Tennessee and getting a a birth at the sugar bowl for the first time in my lifetime (it was reverent and everyone was going crazy been over a decade since we made it) and beating Illinois! We could have beat anyone that year

It’s all gone. If I’m honest i absolutely hate the playoffs. It’s sad, college ball has just turned into another nfl type mercenary game. I new it was turning this way as soon as they approved a single playoff style game… It’s a bad product for me.

Is what it is.

I could get on board with this, but I hate giving up regular season games in Tiger Stadium.
