The one thing committee got right is not punishing the SEC runner up... Outside of that it's a freaking joke. Give the g5 champs a big time bowl game at a premium TV Time but there's teams that could win it all sitting out for James Madison

What about BYU? They were in the CFP before playing the Big 12 championship game.

They have fewer losses than Bama has, and they don’t have the bad loss to Florida State that Bama has.

Bama’s always the darling that gets the benefit of the doubt.

They shouldn’t be in. They were overrated and over ranked going into the game and that beat down only proved it. It wouldn’t have been viewed as a punishment for losing, it would have been the correction of a previous, obvious error.

Maybe when its a close game but not when you get beat by 21 and the week before you almost lost to a team isn't ordinarily bowl eligible based on their record.

The unfortunate thing is no one knows. Sure Bama had better quality wins, but the also had the worst loss. It’s a major crack in college football that will never be fixed.

They got in because of their name. For anyone else, a 14 point beatdown by a 5 loss team and total buttfricking in the SEC championship game with 3 total losses would have kept them out.

Lol why does it pain you? Alabama had a good season with some great wins, let them enjoy it. LSU is back on track now, that's all that matters.

What’s sad is they play OU, who is pretty anemic offensively, so they may well win.

Alabama should NOT be in. Lost to a pathetic FSU team...blown out by Georgia...lost to OU which is going to get exposed like LSU almost did...OT win vs a pathetic KY team...barely beat S Carolina...barely beat Auburn. Alabama should NOT be in the playoffs. If you want to put another SEC team, put in Vandy who was in the Alabama game in the 4th quarter at Tuscaloosa.

I don't know if they should or shouldn't be in. I don't really believe they should but probably b because I'd rather see Vandy in it.

Imo if they didn’t lose so badly to Georgia then they should be in no question. But Georgia whooped their arse. I really thought losing like that would knock them out.

Every team below the 6th or 7th ranked teams doesn’t matter. None of them can make a case that they are the best in college Football (remember that’s what the CFP system is really about) Alabama is irrelevant and so is ND. Their game is just for a few more hours of TV money.

I found today’s ESPN playoff show rather humorous. Most all of the broadcasters were making offhanded and or snide comments about JMU and Tulane being in ranked in the 20s and from lesser conferences.
Funny it was ESPN that started all this DEI teams in the playoffs. I remember ESPN pimping Boise St and UCF to be included in the BCS as they were so deserving.
