Joe Rogan

I find it a dumb perspective, AI can never supersede the algorithm programmed into its data mining. But he gives me a sense that this will be a prepping mechanism for low IQ people once the Lord does truly take the wise people out.

Yet it could be sold to a certain cross section of people, I’m afraid. I don’t think he is appealing to the intelligent, but to younger and the masses

Your retort is somehow more retarded than Rogan''s question.

the second coming

Did you know that in the genuine epistles of Paul, plus Colossians and Ephesians, plus the epistles of Hebrews, James, Jude, and 1 Peter, plus Revelation…

None of those mention anything about Jesus ever having been on earth… no disciples, no virgin birth in Bethlehem, no healing the sick, no casting out demons, no feeding the 5000, no visiting the temple in Jerusalem, no encounter of Roma soldiers, no Pontius Pilate.

That’s 14 letters of the New Testament that talk a great deal about Jesus but don’t mention his first coming as a historical event, or a future second coming, because those stories hadn’t yet been invented when those 14 letters were written. In every one of those letters, Jesus is “coming” as a future event… not once is there a mention of a “return” or “coming again”.

I will be sure to inform the pastor about this.

I will let him know that he’s doing it wrong.

You do show up in all of the Jesus threads. You are pitiful

Simple explanation.... the writers knew the churches receiving the particular "epistles" (letters) already knew these facts. Also, each of the letters were meant to address a particular issue each respective church was facing. Your taking the letters out of the context in which they were written.

No one ever mentioned you but here you are. Even the premise of what you’re trying to contradicts itself

Your contrarian troll game is usually a little stronger than this. You best go conference with Screwtape and Wormwood to brush up on your game.

Alrighty then. coo coo for coo coo crisp.

That said, Rogan is way out of his league here. I know he is open and loves to get stoned and BS. He has gotten more serious and famous, but he has jumped the shark with this topic.

Spitballing as a non-religious guy, if anything, AI would be the anti-Christ. What's the polar opposite of life? Non-life. A computer without the soul of life but coming to humanity with promises of Utopia For All.

One of the most insane posts I’ve seen on this site.“(Quote rm)

Squirrel is on a highly motivated , personal ‘crusade’ to deny and discredit the Divinity of Jesus Christ, and many of the Scriptural writings of OT prophecy and NT miracles and (supposed) quotes of Jesus which support that narrative. To what end, only Squirrel knows. Albeit far from being alone he is running into a hard wind.

The essence of Jesus Gospel as has been accepted for the duration since his (assumed, some even deny that such a person existed) existence and effect on the philosophical, religious and moral dynamics of the Human psyche is found in the simple idea of the Feeling of Love. Such being innate in the psyche of some while non existent in others. And springing from that basis of Love, the idea of Mercy and ultimate salvation of one’s Soul. If one adopts said Idea/Love as their foremost “First Principle” (a Thomas Sowell descriptor).

Those of us who choose to believe that Jesus was one third of a Triune Godhead, based on either a simple Faith such as that of the (supposed) “thief on the cross “ or like myself, a very complex philosophical, scientific, moral and theological ’gumbo’ of reasoning, to the degree that our ultimate Faith rules our psyche and perceptive paradigm, to that degree we experience the comfort of the “Holy Spirit” and the “fruits “ therein. Such being ”love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness”…”against which there is no law “ or argument which can undermine the transformative power therein. For the “children of God” (God being Perfect Love/Unity) that IS Heaven.

The realization of this Universal Truth on a worldwide scale would indeed be a “Second Coming “. That such would come in the calamitous “clouds” of and Earthly ‘Armageddon’ that destroys one perception paradigm in order for another to replace it is no rational leap. It is in fact the likely outcome.

Something big is coming. Get Jesus if that is an option. It’s His job to save the lost and innately flawed Children.

quote:

The prophesied Second Coming of Jesus Christ may be triggered by an advanced, God-like computer, according to the world's most famous podcast host. Joe Rogan recently told the American Alchemy podcast that AI-powered machines could one day have a 'virgin birth,' creating advanced robots, or 'offspring,' capable of performing real-world miracles using technology. 'Jesus is born out of a virgin mother. What's more virgin than a computer?' Rogan told podcast host Jesse Michels during the interview released on Sunday.

You are aware...

... that only two of the four gospels mention him as born of a virgin. The first written (Mark) does not make this claim nor does the last written (John) make this claim. Of the two that do, the second (Luke) is parroting, fixing, and altering this story because Mathew had made such a mess of it.

Points to consider

The verse which Mathew hypes as prophetic and references Mary as virginal and messianic prophesy is utterly wrong on both counts. The word used here is not virgin as indicted by the young woman being already pregnant. It's the gist of the whole story. She is with child, a male child and that before this child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

This wrong translation (virgo) appears the be from Jerome's Vulgate and written in the 4th century. He was using the Septuagint as his basis and they had translated the Hebrew word "almah" as "parthenos"; which is considered a synonym word that could be virgin or young woman.

However the synonym Jerome chose doesn't fit the narrative to which it's purported to be taken from. This story is about a young woman carrying a yet to be born child. Isaiah is telling King Ahaz to quit worrying. That the two kingdoms competing for his kingdom will be gone and his land shall remain. Isaiah 7:15Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. 16For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. ie: stop fretting and do more trusting. It's not a messianic prophesy at all.

This is one of the first thing Jewish kids (not that I am) learn and as such they love to toss it about.... to every Christian missionary... who enters a synagogue with soul saving in mind. So be careful to not make this mistake if you're trying to convert the non-Christian.

When it was first being circulated that Rogan may be adopting a Christian worldview, people MELTED when I pointed out the type of Christianity that he would promote would not be "real" Christianity to most on this forum.

I have a feeling the type of Christianity and messaging of Jesus he's referencing is the type that this board says isn't real Christianity.
