Given that he's a big fan of, worked with, and admires both Carroll and Saban, wonder who he thinks won the natty that year...
Certainly now it's LSU, but curious if there's any other of his opinions floating around out there...

I think he was on the coaching staff at USC in 03, so he is biased. But everyone knows LSU is the 03 national champions.

Who won it in 1997? 1991? 1990? 1978?
There have been several split titles*, with multiple teams recognized there is no reason for LSU fans to be insecure about this 22 years later
* the BSC was not meant to crown one champ, it was meant to pick a 1 vs 2 matchup and keep the stupid bowl tie and avoid 1994 and 1997 with 2 undefeated teams that were contractually obligated to a certain bowl.
