Europeans (what's left after the independent-minded left for America) do not have the genetic inclination for Freedom that our Nation does. And attempts to stifle Free Speech here will NOT go as easily as over there. Especially if said speech is related to the kind and manner of painful policy consequences such that the current European populous now bears. Savage rapes, murders and political persecution.
The Left has already embraced political assassination, and it's just a matter of time - assuming Leftist hegemony continues as has been - before the Right does as well. And given the effects of the 2nd Amendment over here, it would be a guaranteed dogfight and a big and painful L for the Left. Regardless of all their 'imported' immigrant warriors.
Of course, we all hope to avert such a calamity, but it is likely easier "for a camel to go through the eye of a needle", as the historical record reflects. Even sadder, is that seriously honest talk required for compromise would probably would do more harm than good.
Is what it is.

It feels like most of those people are middle age and elderly guys with not much else to live for and thus, their incessant desire to be involved in something bigger than them and damn you if you have a different opinion.
But Zelensky cancelling elections and allowing widespread corruption from his officials is fine. It’s really sad to see how logical and objective intelligence is no longer applied by the majority of our society.
