Basically says they’re interested and open to follow Lane to LSU. Obviously, we want Chambliss if he gets another year, but not a bad option to get him in of course.

There is no way for Chambliss to get another year, he came from division 2 which is part of the NCAA. The only way is if he played Juco or NAIA at some point.

Interesting argument he has in that D2 doesn’t allow redshirts and he only played in 2 games his freshman year. If he had been at ole Miss the entire time he would be a RS Jr.

...but if Chambliss doesnt get an extra year I would take Simmons. Atleast youre getting more than 1 season as a starter with Simmons. Thats a good bridge for the next HS QB (Houston, Haven, or whoever).
Chambliss for a 1 year run pretty much guarantees Lane would have to go into the portal again for a QB for the 2027 season.

Unless his wiki is not right he only appeared in 2 games his freshman yr. He played 2 more seasons at Ferris and one at OM. You get 5 to play 4. What am I missing?

I wouldn't be surprised if CLK goes into the portal for QB's every year. I get the feeling he values the QB position a great deal and is prob always trying to upgrade the position. Like someone already mentioned, he had 6 QB's on the Ole Miss roster so he's not adverse to having a bunch of QBs.

Needs to clean up his decision making. The games he started this year he through interceptions that were bad.
