Assuming he is genuine about wanting to coach again… where could you see him?

BK is so arrogant that he probably thinks he's above a G5 job but honestly, that would be the best place for him. Some G5 up north.

Good. Then it gives LSU grounds to sue his arse to get out of paying the buyout due to violating his mitigation clause by not making good faith efforts to find new employment.

At this point no where. His best option is to look at smaller schools where 7-5 to 8-4 record would be considered a great season. I was thinking with that BYU coach backing off he might be a candidate at Penn State. But looks like Penn State is playing a waiting game which definitely means they are looking at one of the coaches that is in the Playoffs.

For CBK Michigan State would have been an option but they went in a different direction. So all points to his options are limited and our buyout of 54 million can help him walk into sunset sooner than he would have hoped.

If only that dude showed up and coached.

At this point, I think he sits out this year. I personally dont think he’s looking for a G5 job. If something like Duke or Pittsburgh opened up I think he may be a realistic candidate for something like that, but I’m not sure anything like that opens

If Penn State makes a run at Manny, would Duke be a fit? They would be happy with 7-8 wins a year and it is still a P4 job.

If he truthfully is seeking a new job, and taking into account the current college openings, what makes most sense to me is UCONN, or James Madison.

If Wisconsin opens up, which I think it should, Fickell has been terrible there, Wisconsin should look at BK. Would be a good fit for both schools. Kelly would be more willing to go to Wisconsin than UCONN or James Madison.

UCONN would at least be in the NorthEast. He’d probably do pretty well at UCONN, but I doubt Kelly’s ego could handle his last stop being UCONN, after ND, and LSU.

James Madison doesn’t follow his career trajectory, but both previous coaches, Cignetti, and Chesney, have done well, no doubt BK would win games there.

So just by current openings, and if Kelly really wants it, UCONN or James Madison. Wisconsin if it opens up.

He’d probably jump on Penn State, but I don’t think they want him. They’ve also screwed themselves and may need to save face, so who knows.

Are there reasons to believe that Penn State is looking at Diaz? Duke would a great fit for CBK and with ACC not all that great he would make it look like him being a solid hire.

He's a coach no big program wants to hire because it's obvious he had cashed in and wasn't interested in doing the hard work anymore. In my opinion his best option is to go to a school with some history and tradition and get them to respectability, 7-8 wins a year. An ACC school makes the most sense to me. Not sure if there's any open in this cycle that would fit that, unless more jobs open up after signing day.

Exactly! Heck even Tulane wouldn't want him as they have raised their bar on excellence and they are not ready to settle for a 8-4/9-3 seasons. Tulane considering CBB solidifies that point.

Penn State should definitely hire him. Talk about a perfect marriage of culture and personality.

I mean their big game schtick is literally a “white out.” BK is the whitest man on Earth.

He is a MUCH better fit for Tulane than O.

Plus, he has Louisiana connections now!

He should be on Penn State's radar though.

Plain uniforms.
Old white guy coaching.
Arrogant.

Penn St fired a coach barely halfway into the season after he took them to the second round of the playoff due to his inability to win big games. They would be insane to hire Big Game Brian after that.

BK clearly wanted to coast here, get paid, and maybe get a championship to add to his resume before retiring, no school with a legitimate shot at getting one is going to hire him, I just don’t see him getting back in it now, he’s lost his passion.

I think he wants a media gig.

Let’s be honest, that assclown doesn’t want to coach again. He advised his agent to find broadcasting gigs for him.
