They want you extinct. They are not here to assimilate. Do not give it away to people who have shown they have no civic sense for 2000 years.

I'm [currently] ambivalent leaning towards a 'no' or 'reform' as opposed to shut it down on the H1B visa thing for two reasons:

1. I can see where it can benefit the USA and it's citizens if used correctly.

on the other hand...

2. I have no doubt it isn't being used incorrectly and enough where it qualifies as 'abuse' and is a way for corporations to turn donations into rewards/influence.

However, I do want to see one thing immediately: Pull the data and compare [legal] H1B visas vs. any form of assistance AND any statewide shennanigans (e.g. 'No Name Given' drivers licenses). Are these visa users actually taking advantage of taxpayers? Are these visa user actually being placed in semi or non-skilled labor jobs?

If there is a Jeet or some other 3rd worlder who is so unique in talent the US would be foolish not to have them here then that can be an easily acquired target without this program.

There is simply no value to real Americans for this program. None. It only benefits corporations, many of whom hate America just as much as the 3rd worlders they wish to hire to replace Americans.

They already have that, it’s EB-1A. We definitely don’t need the run of the mill H1B jeets like Trump says we do.

So we need to create more STEM grads. To be clear, we need to stop recruiting women into STEM and start recruiting men.

Also it makes zero sense how India gets so many more when Europe, and east Asia produce drastically better STEM grads.

IBM.

A great American innovation company. A prolific patent holder, usually in the top 3 in new technology patents filed every year.

Arvind Krishna, the Chairman and CEO of IBM, was born in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Why? Are CEO's that difficult to find in America?

Arvind Krishna,

Im fine with him, he's been here for over 35 years and worked his way up in research. His PhD is from the US. He also has 15 patents and is widely published.

Hes kind of a 1/1 even in a very competitive field.

His predecessor was also a technical lightweight who tried to outsource everything.

H1Bs are usually paid just above $64k a year, which is what FedGov requires. They are used to replace citizens that make 2-3 times that. Multiple H1Bs I worked with at the last client (before I was replaced by two of them) were still making under 70k with 10 years of experience in IT.

The company I have the misfortune of working for is one of the largest users of H1Bs in the US. They treat the H1Bs like shite (you have two weeks to move your wife and a newborn from Michigan to Texas, and we'll reimburse you in 6-8 weeks, or you can take your arse back to India.)

It's not about their welfare benefits, it's how we've imported hundreds of thousands of people in the last five years along that massively undercut wages, fill job roles that citizens can do, and they work like dogs because they're constantly under threat of being sent back to India.

If only Trump would take this as serious as some of us on here have been trying to get people to.

They are definitely wanting payback for Imperialism. Like China seeking payback for the Opium Wars.

I was shocked at the amount of dot Indians in the Frisco/Plano area. At one point, I may have been the only non-Indian in the Sam’s club.

If you took every h1b in the country it’s only 8% of dfw population.

That's all well and good; however, he is no different than the others.
When they get elevated into positions of power, they force Americans out and hire Indians. I have watched it for a decade.
Indians are the absolute worst engineers on the planet. Multiple revisions, missed deadlines, blame others....over and over and over again. Corporations don't see it. All they see is I can work one of these smelly frickheads for 20% of what it costs for an American educated and trained engineer.

Do the fricking needful, indeed.

This might be a controversial statement but a small but significant number of people that vote will not vote for JD in a general election because his wife is Indian essentially handing the presidency over to the Democrat candidate, likely Gavin. Just the optics of Gavin’s all American looking family will pull ~5% of the vote his way. In terms of family optics, Ron DeSantis can counter Gavin’s optics. Sorry for the controversial political point, but it’s just reality.
