The rundown on Frank Wilson...

Lane wanted to retain Frank but move him to an off-the-field role as a recruiting specialist (perhaps in a made up position.)
Frank wants to remain as the RB coach, and is now telling recruits to delay signing or consider other options until he gets clarity on that.
I don't expect Frank to be on staff, as Ole Miss rb coach Kevin Smith is largely expected to follow Lane after the season.
(This is coming from buzz I've heard and reading the tea leaves)

So nothing but rumors currently? If that's the case why let him coach the bowl game if trying to hold recruits hostage?

So it’s out there to other coaches that if Frank doesn’t get what he wants he’ll recruit against his active employer?

Recruiting connections not as important as they used to be.
At some point the position you coach on the field has ti actually do something.

100%. These rumors just surfaced though. If there’s any truth to this no way he coaches the bowl game.
