I just really wanted to see that defense at full strength with a good offense. 2019 was great and all but that is pretty much the last time we've had a more than serviceable offense and defense on the same team.

The only way someone know if they can be a college HC is to give it a shot.

It didn't work for Frank, not looking like Aranda is all that great as a HC, and many oothers have tried and failed.

Aranda needs good support staff, but I think he runs a good program. We also don’t know how good he really is because he was at freaking Baylor. Lol

Just so much good to baker staying with a great offensive push coming in. If he wants to skip that whole step of Tulane level job he could be in for a Power 4 job with a season to shine with a competent offense. But it makes total sense for him to be their next head coach and I think he will do a great job if he does go.

Salary wise it’s almost a lateral move. 2.5 million now to maybe 3 million from Tulane? It comes down to if he wants the opportunity to head coach?

I can see it from both ends for Baker.

One could argue if he has another big year here he’s in line for a good P5 job…but at the same time, if you look at this hiring cycle, most of the jobs were filled with sitting HCs not coordinators.

Tulane needs to hire Bayou Billy and send Baker back to LSU.

More than serviceable is not a category the 2019 offense belongs in.

There's still another cycle to this coaching carousel. It's not over yet.

Imo, He’s working it to justify a pay increase. Hopefully he stays.

Obviously, man. But I wouldn’t be mad about it but if he didn’t. It’s primed for something special if he were to stay.

I mean, I know in coaching terms that’s not a huge difference, but we’re talking half a million a year difference. That’s not chump change. I do think LSU would come close to matching that if need be, but I agree I don’t think money will be the deciding factor for Baker.
