Update on Penn State's vacancy...

Lions247 was told this evening by a source familiar with BYU's situation that Penn State (presumably Pat Kraft) met with Sitake in his home yesterday, and that's when he was presented with the offer. We've heard that the salary number has gone over $10M over the course of this process.
After learning of Sitake's intentions to take the job, BYU has since attempted to take advantage of a chance to counter, leaning on Sitake's deep roots within that community.

"It sounds like this is pretty much going to be done (for Penn State), but don't know if it's imminent."
They described this ongoing moment as "a last-ditch effort" from BYU".

This makes perfect sense. I visited Provo like 10 years ago and the Baskin Robbins and other ice cream shoppes were PACKED at night with all all these wholesome Mormons lol.
Crazy that he turned that culture into a late nite cookie shoppe worth billions.
