And your issue is not with men, it is with some dumb arse that was never going to keep his promise. A woman boss could do the exact same thing and i've seen that happen with jerking candidates around.

I've had these exact same things happen to me when offered jobs by both men and women.
No one is immune from stuff like this.
My only advice is, no matter how shitty, don't burn a bridge. You just never know. Politely decline and move on with life.
