Tulane in line for a Playoff berth with as much chance to win it all. Where’s the outrage?

Sumrall left for Florida in the midst of a historic season for Tulane right before a potential playoff berth.

Waiting for the outrage to begin.

Oh wait, that only happens for LSU and not Florida? Gotcha.

Good point, but this is the SEC. Quite literally just that. It literally JUST MEANS MORE

no body cares about Tulane. they're bound to lose first round regardless.

Ole Miss actually has/had a chance to move to the second round. maybe even the third.

We are all pissed. It's such a stupid situation that CFB is currently in.

I think it has to do with the fact Ole Miss considers LSU as a rival.

I also think it has something to do with the fact that this totally wipes away any narrative of Lane building a program from nothing. That is what would have gotten the most clicks. Also, most of the media people are theatre kid types who think life is a fricking movie.

Tulane is allowing him to coach through the remainder of the season. He will join Florida after their potential playoff run.

That’s why you aren’t hearing the outrage. Good move on Tulane. Ole Miss really fumbled this situation. I get their frustration, but there were other avenues they could have taken to reduce the pain.

UF is letting him stay at Tulane until end of the season and Tulane wisely let him coach the bowl or playoff.

Ole Miss was not going to win it all. But their chances of winning it all is astronomically higher than Tulane. Like it's not even close. Tulane quite possibly may not even make the playoffs, my bet is North Texas beats them.

Tulane really has nothing to worry about with Sumrall leaving

Tulane and Florida are not in the same conference and don’t compete for the same players

Ole miss and LSU are in the same conference and very much compete for the same players.

It's a huge career step from Tulane to Florida.
There would be no outrage on Kiffin if Alabama, Texas, Ohio State were the program and not LSU. They (media/talking heads) would be defending Kiffin in fact and talking about how you just can't pass up those opportunities. Finebaum would be saying Kiffin has to make that move. So screw all of them.

Summrall is not going to a hated rival. Besides, Tulane is used to these things. Coaching changes, not playoffs.

Tulane’s season is fricked every year by coaching carousel and transfer portal

We have become accustomed to it, as it’s a casualty of winning at a small school

Ole Miss didn’t react well to getting lil bro’d in a historic run by a hated rival. Just my take
