Honesty you have to hand it to OM Leadership

They are holding strong on their "contract" with Lane and not allowing him to breach it.
They seem to also have vetted others for the Head job.
They have a Championship in their vision and its being taken from them.

I disagree with everything you wrote.
They are giving ultimatums to coaches.
There is precedent for coaches to take other jobs and finish out their contract.

I don’t really know what people want OM to do differently.

Ole Miss isn't winning a championship. They played 2 of the top 7 teams in the SEC this season. They are a fraud 11-1 team, much like Texas A&M.

I’ve been impressed with how they’ve handled this whole process

Their pride always costs them.
Cost them Lane and it’s costing them now.

They have a chance just like 15 other teams.

They seem to be holding their ground while cutting of their nose to spite their face.

The coaches are the ones that voted on the date of the transfer portal
It is the coaches decision to have the dates setup as they are
It is lane kiffin, the coach, that wants to leave ole miss to coach lsu
Right, wrong, or indifferent lane kiffin is the catalyst for all of this

Other than OM media idiots, it seems they have handled it very well.

OM decided its best play here is to set itself on fire.
Not sure that’s entirely praiseworthy…

All they have to do is let him coach until they either win it all or get knocked out. It’s pretty simple
