The fact that ESPN lost UFC and is now trying to replace it with wrasslin' is annoying and pathetic

It's super weird that a sports entity is covering wrasslin' as if it were a sport. Same when they used to do that with poker.

Poker was way less offensive to ESPN than the WWE should be…

If wwe was descent like it used to be it would be more tolerable but the fact that it’s awful worse it has ever been makes it cringe

We all know what it is. We all know the deal. Honestly, the folks still pretending it’s taboo are acting weirder than the people they’re pointing fingers at.

On top of that, sport or not, you couldn’t do what those guys do.

Correct. I could not. The same way that you couldn't be a professional stuntman which is what these people basically are. It has more to do with acting than competition.

It’s retarded on both sides. It’s a joke that espn is covering it in this manner.

It’s equally as dumb for WWE to have a post show where they just come out and talk about all the things they just asked you to suspend disbelief for.

The topics this board decides to pearl-clutch over is bizarre.

Wrestling is a male soap opera. It's performance theater performed by trained performers who double as athletes where the finishes are pre-determined but real injuries still occur.

It's is what it is. No need to get panties in a wad over it.

They want more viewers, and bringing in a Male soap operas like Wrasslin is perfect. They can pimp it, and wrasslin fans will flock to watch their soap opera.

Perhaps you should look up what the E in ESPN means.

I chuckle every time a wrestling event is promoted during a legit sports event.

And its not even very entertaining anymore.

Maybe they need to bring back the midgets

Pretty sure rasslin was also a key part of ESPN's early programming schedule

Didn't the AWA air on ESPN?

In the 1980s ESPN broadcast AWA wrestling. It was shown on prime time on ESPN.

Does the MSB complain this much about "The Ocho" programming which is pure goofy entertainment programming which was popular it's been expanded from 24 hours to a week?
